Kansas City's Running and Walking Club for Gay and Gay-Friendly Men and Women
Whether you are a running novice, a walker, or a seasoned marathoner, we welcome people of ALL abilities and interests. So come and join us on one of our twice weekly runs (Wednesday night and Sunday morning).
Our mission is to promote good health through running, walking, and club events in a supportive, LGBT running/walking community. Some members participate to get in a good jog a couple of times a week - while others show up to train for a competitive event. Most of us really show up because we like the social aspect of the group!
Kansas City Frontrunners is part of a world-wide network of gay and lesbian "Frontrunners" running and walking clubs. The name "Frontrunners" was inspired by Patricia Nell Warren's novel The Front Runner, a story about the relationship between an ex-Marine track coach and his Olympic athlete training for the 1976 Olympic Games.
